Hi (sorry if you've already answered this!) but I was thinking about getting an afghan loom (the S shape). Do you think this is a good idea? I have the set of circular looms including a larger one. Is this an alternative or is the afghan loom a good purchase to make? Also: is it harder? Thanks so much (ps your projects are awesome!)
Well if you ask me, one can never have enough looms. lol In all seriousness, the afghan loom is great if you want to make large bed size blankets in one shot without having to stitch panels together. It can be a little awkward to get used to at first, and you have to be careful with your tension, but once you get used to it, it’s great. The largest KK round loom can make a fair sized baby blanket, or flat panels that you can stitch together, but the afghan loom will do a panel that is 60 inches across. So it depends on what you’re looking to make. If you have a coupon, which is how I got mine, I’d say go for it. :)
And thank you!
